What is CBD?
CBD short for cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive cannabis compound that has significant effect on inflammation, anxiety, pain receptors, and more. As inflammation is the number one root cause of infertility it can be used for both men and women to reduce inflammation and increase nourishing blood flow throughout the body and notably, to the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and testes.
How does CBD improve infertility?
Because the root cause of infertility is often due to inflammation, CBD, a known anti-inflammatory can benefit those suffering from infertility to reduce inflammation in their ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and testes.
Additionally, CBD has a calming and anti-anxiety effect so it can be beneficial to those trying to reduce the stress often associated with experiencing and undergoing fertility treatment.
It can be taken by both men and women.
How do I take CBD?
CBD can be absorbed under the tongue using a CBD rich tincture/oil, swallowed in pill or gummy form, rubbed in to the skin using salves or balms, or inhaled using vape pens. We believe that the tincture absorbed under the tongue and the topical cream rubbed over affected areas (like the abdomen for fertility) provide the best results.
Will I feel high taking CBD?
No, CBD, unlike it’s “cousin” THC is non-psychoactive. Even the products that have some THC like the full spectrum tincture have less than .3 percent THC, not enough to feel any significant psychological effects. CBD does have a relaxing effect, so you may feel a calming or relaxing effect.
What’s the difference between Full Spectrum and Isolate/THC FREE
Full spectrum products contain a multitude of different cannabinoids (chemical compounds found in the cannabis plan), CBD, CBC, CBDV, CBG, CBDA, TCH to name a few, that are believed to work synergistically to provide a more therapeutic effect that CBD alone. Isolate or THC FREE products contain only CBD.
We recommend full spectrum products due to the synergistic effect of the many cannabinoid compounds unless one is pregnant, nursing, or may be subject to random drug screening.
Do you recommend Full Spectrum or Isolate/THC FREE products?
Currently, we recommend that the full spectrum product due the the synergistic effect of all the cannabinoids in the full spectrum products. If you are subject to random drug screening, are pregnant, or a nursing mother, we recommend staying away from any THC containing product, even at small doses.
What products are THC FREE
The THC FREE tinctures, salve, gummies, and vape pens are all THC FREE.
What dose of CBD Should I take?
We recommend starting off with 30mg of CBD daily and titrating up or down from there based on your specific needs. That is approximately one dropper full of 1000mg tincture, 2 dropper fulls of the 500mg tincture, or one gummy.
How long should I take CBD for?
For women preparing for a fertility treatment we recommend taking CBD oil for 30-90 prior to the start of their treatment as egg cells mature for around 90 days. If not possible begin as soon as you can. For men, it is recommended to start 30 days before your collection.
If still trying to conceive naturally you can add at your convenience, preferably sooner than later to give yourself the best chances of conceiving before seeking further assistance by a reproductive specialist.
After attaining pregnancy, we recommend using a THC Free Product.
Because CBD has a multitude of benefits not restricted to Fertility, many people may find it beneficial to continue long after undergoing fertility treatments.
